Original backdrops illustrated by Allie Yacina and Bailey Volchok for Brainium Solitaire.
(Ongoing) In 2025 we started developing a system for a bespoke animation tool that works with Unity Timeline. This was used as a test case to bring motion to several existing backdrops by our illustrators and explore pleasing, dynamic gameboards.  Animations were mocked in Toonsquid, with some taken into the Unity timeline system for performance testing.

With the introduction of in-game currency, we introduced a shop to our players that allows them to earn in-game rewards like cardbacks, backdrops, and power-ups. On reward purchase, the player is shown a pleasing screen that shows their item and allows them to equip it immediately.

Shipped an entirely new Mosaic Event where games can be won to reveal tiles. When the tiles are complete the event image & reward is given. This required both tile reveal and final mosaic reveal animations to bring the image to life. Shimmers were hand-drawn in Toonsquid and played as a sprite sheet.

Reveal boost

2025


Shipped a completely new boost feature tied in with Rewarded Video, with pleasing wind and leaves that reveal a new playable card. Additional seasonal variants were also created. 
This feature is notable for launching with 25K daily uses and a $1K increase in our daily game revenue.

We introduced and shipped a brand new interface and milestone progression system for our Daily Game challenges. This required designing animations for navigating and completing dates on the calendar menu, flair for the trophies and confetti, and making sure motion tied smoothly into the End of Game sequence.

C++ > Unity Port

2024-25


We recreated our flagship title in Unity to be in complete parity with the previous C++ code-only version. While it was a huge undertaking, moving to Unity improved our development velocity and made it possible for more hands-on design and animation work in the Unity engine. 
As the first animator to join the team, I worked with engineers on the bridge to Unity to lay groundwork of our animation workflow and to make our updated version imperceptible from the original in terms of game feel and motion. This required intense documentation of all existing motion and features.
